Cisco is sued by FSF

Cisco, being so hip on open source, is being sued by the Free Software Foundation for non compliance with GPL. Just another example of a big corporation saying one thing but doing another. I bet it’s serious enough that a quick out-of court settlement, like it was in many cases before with FSF, is not going to cut it.

I think the problem with many big companies is they don’t take free software community seriously, considering it as just a bunch of unorganized geeks. Hopefully this “FSF vs. Cicso” will teach not only Cisco, but others as well.
Agreed. Cisco is tarnishing their reputation now. SCO story comes to mind when thinking about a possible worst case scenario backlash from the open source community.
